Toronto Police Identify Suspect in October Cellphone Theft

Toronto Police have identified a suspect involved in a cellphone theft that occurred in the Financial District last October. The incident, which involved an alleged assault, took place on October 26, 2023, around 20:00 in the area of Bay and Front Streets.

According to police reports, the victim was approached by three women who then assaulted her and stole her cellphone. Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Investigators from the 52 Division’s Major Crime Unit conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the identification of one of the suspects.

The identified suspect is Celine Zeynalvand, a 33-year-old resident of Laval, Quebec. She is currently wanted on charges of robbery. The two other suspects remain unidentified, but police have provided descriptions to aid in their capture.

The second suspect is described as being between 25 to 30 years old, with blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black athletic top and black leggings. The third suspect is also aged between 25 to 30 and has brown hair. This individual was spotted wearing a royal blue athletic top and royal blue leggings.

As of now, the specific charges facing the two unidentified suspects have not been disclosed.
